Dawlish town centre offers something for everyone from cafés to pubs and restaurants and of course there are plenty of places to get that good old seaside favourite, ‘fish n chips’.
Gift shops and retail outlets are plentiful, so whether it’s a unique souvenir or just a bucket and spade, you are sure to find what you are looking for.
All of the Air Show displays are free to access. The static display areas are staffed by volunteers, air crew and air cadets, who are equipped with the knowledge to tell you more about the aircraft on show.
In the centre of town The Lawn is our main display area for ground attractions and offers sideshows, stalls and entertainment for all the family. Next to The Lawn and running down to the sea is Dawlish Water with its array of waterfowl and the famous Dawlish Black Swans.
Dawlish Warren is a “Blue Flag” family beach, backed by sand dunes and small lakes. The Warren beach stretches for miles to reach the Exe Estuary in one direction and Dawlish Town in the other.
Static aircraft are often on display at Dawlish Warren and in 2013 we were visited by an Army Air Corps AH-64 Apache gunship!
Once the last plane has taken to the sky and all the ice cream has been eaten, the entertainment continues into the night with live music and dancing.
Toilet facilities including baby changing and disabled access are available within the town centre and at Dawlish Warren.
Public transport access is via rail or bus and the famous railway line runs the length of the air show display line.
Dawlish Air Show has event parking for 1500 vehicles and all our marshals and event staff are trained and qualified to national levels, for your peace of mind.
